Paloma at the Café de Paris in Monaco

Am I imagining it or are we seeing more and more Chihuahuas? I seem to see them a lot these days or perhaps I just notice their cute little faces more than I used to.

Meet Paloma an adorable 4 year old sitting on her owner's lap on the terrace of the Café de Paris.

Fifi the Fearless

This adorable Longhaired Chihuaha was walking around Port Hercule in Monaco. She's only 10 months old and was so good. When her owners told her to sit she did, when they told her to look up, she did...but only for them. I couldn't get her to look at me. How well-behaved though for such a baby.

Fifi lives in Holland between Hilversum and Utrecht.

Keno

Will someone please take me shopping like this? It can't be bad, can it? Carried around is a comfortable bag, put down from time to time, loved and fed and walked. This little dog - a long-haired chihuahua called Keno - has got life pretty much worked out. And so has his charming owner. They obviously adore each other.

Up in Arms

This little long-haired Chihuahua was in the arms of the secretary of the Monaco Dog Society - at the recent show held in the circus tent in Fontvieille.

Diego and Laura on Port Hercule

Who is the more adorable? Diego, the Chihuahua or his fabulously dressed young owner, Laura? Don't you just adore her outfit.

Diego is 18 months old and despite several photos, we could never get his ears quite right but who cares? I think Laura must like cats as much as dogs - take a look at her T-shirt in the smaller photo. They live in Monaco and are seen here on Port Hercule.

Meet Minnie - taken at dusk - 8 p.m. above Larvotto Beach, Monaco. Minnie, a long-coat chihuahua, lives in Monaco and was taking her evening promenade. I've noted chihuahuas do this - close up their eyes tight as I photograph them. Perhaps they think if they can't see me, I can't see them!

Rosine looks very comfortable in her carrying bag, doesn't she? She's a seven and a half year old, long coat Chihuahua on holiday in Menton. Normally lives in Alsace. Here she's sitting on the wall alongside the beach in Menton.
