Eros getting ready for the New Year

My friend, Carla, has a Poodle Parlour in Menton and when I called in the other day, she was smartening up this little Jack Russell type dog for the New Year. He's called Eros and lives in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

All the luck...

Some dogs have all the luck, don't they? This little Jack Russell loves his walks - with all the good smells - around Port Hercule in Monaco.

This cute little 3 year old Jack Russell lives in Menton and was watching the display put on by the Newfoundlands last month.

The Jack Russell and the Razor

It's not often a car interests me as much as a dog! This sexy little number is called a Ranger RZR and is made by Polaris. You can read all about it on Monte Carlo Daily Photo today.

His Master's Voice Dog?

A patient little Jack Russell type of dog at the Brocante in Menton. He reminds me a little of the His Master's Voice dog - remember those adverts...you'll need to be old!

Clipper - Tintin's dog?

This little 5 month bundle of trouble is called Clipper and belongs to friends who live in south western France and in Monaco. He is a replacement for Scupper, who died far too young. You can read Scupper's story by clicking on the link.

To me, Clipper looks so much like Tintin's dog, Milou - called Snowy in England. His ears don't stick up but he has that look - probably because he hasn't yet got full pigmentation around his eyes. If you don't know Hergé's famous Tintin stories, do click on the link.

This last photograph - below - is out of focus, but I'm using it cos in this he really is Milou/Snowy! I wonder if he'll have as many adventures in his life as Tintin's dog. I sure hope so.

Prickle

This is little Prickle, at home and being stroked by her owner - my friend, William. Prickle has a wonderful life running around her garden - one of the most famous gardens of Menton - the Clos du Peyronnet.

Energy!

This bundle of energy lives in Belgium. His owner explained that his daughter lives in Roquebrune village - this photo was taken on the way to the 1000 year old olive tree. I'm not quite sure why he is wearing a coat as the sun was shining - perhaps because there was a little bit of wind.

Intensity

This couple very kindly posed with their dogs in Gorbio village - it was the day of the Fête de la Branda. Don't you love the intensity of expression in the dogs' faces?

The White Collar

There's a lot of Jack Russell's about. More of this type - broken coated. This little chap was very perky, sitting alongside his owner in a Menton square. The white plastic collar, put on by his caring owner, is a Scalibor collar - against Leishmaniosis which is rife in this part of France.
