This breed is very adaptable in terms of living environment providing they have the company that they crave, but will fare best in a house with a fenced yard so that they can get plenty of play and exercise.

It's extremely hot and humid outside today. China Cat and my Big Janitor Dad really like hot and humid weather but my Food Lady and I don't like humid and hot much at all. We decided to stay inside where it is air conditioned instead of outside where it's 98 degrees Fahrenheit!

On the couch with me is the roller that my Food Lady uses to remove my fur from her clothes. I will never understand why she doesn't want to enhance her clothes with my beautiful white fur. Especially since she wears a lot of black and my fur looks terrific against a black background!

I like the way that the roller smells and my Food Lady rolls it on me sometimes. That's what we did and then it was my nap time in the nice, cool, air-conditioned family room!

These dogs have plenty of energy, and will thrive on spending time with their loved ones enjoying some activity and exercise. The English Setter does not like to be neglected and left alone for long periods, and is therefore not suited to those that do not have the time to commit to looking after and paying attention to a pet. This said, the sweet nature of the English Setter means that he is well suited to both experienced and inexperienced owners.

The English Setter loves children and gets along very well with them, although his size and energy levels may prove a problem around very young children. He also tends to get along well with other pets as well as strangers, and has a very sociable disposition. Some English Setters can be willful and stubborn, and this can lead to resistance. They have very good memories and are quick learners, but can also develop bad habits that can be difficult to break. You may find that the English Setter is slow to housebreak.

Will someone please take me shopping like this? It can't be bad, can it? Carried around is a comfortable bag, put down from time to time, loved and fed and walked. This little dog - a long-haired chihuahua called Keno - has got life pretty much worked out. And so has his charming owner. They obviously adore each other.
